Therapy

At OTTERLY, we offer a diverse range of capacity-building occupational therapy services to the Perth region designed to empower individuals and deliver meaningful outcomes. We work with participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including those who are self-managed or plan-managed. Our team specialises in conducting NDIS assessments including functional capacity assessments and delivering tailored therapy services to suit your unique needs and goals.

Our expertise extends to supporting individuals with a broad spectrum of conditions, including neurological conditions, brain injuries, and other complex challenges.

In addition to NDIS participants, OTTERLY provides services for Workers’ Compensation claims, Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA) patients and private clients.

Our rehabilitation services are centered on collaboration, helping you set realistic, achievable goals and working with you to improve functional outcomes. Support

We provide you with the skills and resources to support you to participate in the activities that are important to you. Our support team value themselves on being friendly, approachable, and professional. Whether you would like support to engage in an activity in your local community or at home; a member of our team will provide you with the encouragement and assistance you need to ensure you feel fully supported.

Coordination

Our team can assist you to understand, implement and make efficient use of your NDIS plan. The diverse range of experience held by our therapists mean that they are well equipped to help you in many ways such as planning and choosing supports that are appropriate for you, assisting with NDIS plan reviews, and connecting you with your local community. We strive to ensure your plan continues to meet your individual needs over time.

Areas of speciality

OTTERLY can assist anyone aged from 12 years onwards. We can assist anyone living in the Perth metropolitan area. We also service rural and remote locations within WA on a case by case basis. We make all attempts to see multiple participants in the same regional area to minimise travel charges. Our services are available to self managed and plan managed NDIS participants, ICWA patients, workcover patients and those seeking private occupational therapy. Telehealth services are available.

Functional Capacity Assessments

A Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that identifies a person’s needs and support requirements. It involves an assessment of a person’s level of function whilst performing activities involved in daily living.

It may be requested for an NDIS plan review or when starting a funding plan to assist with identifying goals and supports required.

Capacity Building

We assist particiants to set realistic, short term goals aimed at improving their level of function in the home or community. We then work with participants to achieve these goals over a 4-6 week period.

Neurological Conditions

We provide specialised occupational therapy for individuals with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. Our tailored interventions focus on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills to enhance independence and quality of life.

Brain Injury

Our therapy supports individuals recovering from traumatic or acquired brain injuries. We focus on cognitive, physical, and emotional rehabilitation, helping clients regain essential skills and adapt to new ways of achieving their goals in daily life and work.

Workers’ Compensation

We deliver tailored occupational therapy services for Workers’ Compensation clients, including injury recovery, workplace modifications, and return-to-work planning. Our approach promotes sustainable recovery while ensuring functional and professional reintegration.

Private Patients

For private clients, we offer flexible, individualised therapy plans to address diverse needs. Whether you’re seeking rehabilitation, skill enhancement, or support with daily tasks, our goal is to help you achieve optimal functionality and well-being.
